About Project
Launched in 2016 by Nimble Media in partnership with Women in Rail, The Big Rail Diversity Challenge (BRDC) was created to highlight the importance of teamwork, inclusion, and gender diversity across the rail industry. Since its inception, the event has grown into a flagship annual initiative, uniting hundreds of participants and organisations committed to positive change.
Challenge
The objective was to design and deliver a large-scale, highly engaging event that not only raised awareness of diversity within the rail sector, but also fostered genuine collaboration, networking, and team-building. Additionally, BRDC needed a strong digital presence to support growing interest, expand participation, and clearly communicate its mission.
Solution
Nimble Media’s events team managed the full end-to-end delivery of BRDC, concept creation, logistics, venue coordination, branding, and on-site management. Each year, the team produced a dynamic, experiential event that encouraged teamwork through physical and mental challenges.
Alongside event delivery, Nimble Media designed and developed a dedicated BRDC website. This included custom layouts, user-friendly navigation, integrated registration functionality, and clear messaging to ensure the event’s purpose and impact were accessible to a broad audience.
Results
BRDC has become a standout annual event within the rail industry, consistently attracting growing participation and strong stakeholder support. The seamless event execution paired with a professionally developed website strengthened visibility, increased engagement, and reinforced the event’s reputation as a key driver for diversity and inclusion.
