Hello again from me and the team at Nimble Media!

I hope this post finds you well; if you are anything like our team, you will be on countdown to some much needed time off over the festive period. It’s the final crawl to Christmas; Heart Christmas Hits is permanently on the radio, Secret Santa’s are being debated, team lunch is booked and we have some fabulous Christmas themed team games to make the days go a little quicker until we can all flop in front of a movie or two and indulge in conversations comparing our favourite type of chocolate. (On which note, I vote that Roses win over Quality Street, but if you really want to impress someone it has to be Hotel Chocolate and dark chocolate every time!)

Nimble Media were recently announced as the official commercial arm for railbusinessdaily.com, a daily newsletter which reaches 20,000 across the rail sector every day.

“We are delighted that Vicky and the Nimble Media team have agreed to join us. They are a fantastically talented group of people who, alongside our news agency at Mercury Group, can help businesses in rail to get so much more out of their marketing and communications. I would urge organisations to speak with Nimble Media to find out about the vast difference railbusinessdaily.com is already making to organisations in the rail industry.”

David McLoughlin,
Founder and owner of railbusinessdaily.com

Reflection and the year ahead…

So as 2018 nears the end, I find myself reflecting back on all that Nimble Media has achieved as a team, at the same time looking forward to what promises to be a bumper year in 2019.

We were recently announced as the official commercial arm for railbusinessdaily.com, a daily newsletter which reaches 20,000 across the rail sector every day.

Keeping with the rail industry, we launched the fourth Big Rail Diversity Challenge which will have a new home at Newark Showground and takes place on 27 June 2019. Already over half filled it, promises to be another sell out. This event really has taken the industry by storm, delivering the Women in Rail message – Gender Diversity: Better for Business, Better for People, Better for Rail it has been heralded by guests as literally “the best day at work you will ever have!”

On the back of the success of our ‘Diversity Team Challenge’ event, we are proud to announce the launch of a second event – ‘The Big Logistics and Transport Diversity Challenge’ – which we will deliver on 26 June in support of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK and Women in Logistics. This brand new event will form a part of CILT (UK) Centenary Celebrations.

Our third event to launch this week is the Women in Rail Awards. A complete sell out at its inaugural launch, this year we have secured a new home at Camden Roundhouse on 15th May to accommodate more companies wishing to attend.

To say the first half of 2019 will be ‘crazy busy’ is an understatement.

It is a pleasure working with Nimble Media. Their events are extremely well organised and their attention to detail cannot be faulted. Also their enthusiasm for creating events of the highest standards to suit all needs is boundless.
Katie Mason Events Manager, Railway Children
What a fabulous event! Such a unique opportunity for teams to have so much fun away from formalised environments. Everyone is on a level in their sports kit and team shirts, no suits or uniforms. The Nimble team did an incredible job and no detail was missed. They created an incredibly fun atmosphere on a massive scale. The room was full of laughter and team spirit. We can’t wait to be there next year- if they will have us!!
Faye Jacques Fundraising Manager Rail, Benefit Fund
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to you and everyone who organized the fantastic Big Rail Diversity Challenge. We all had a superb experience. As a 55-year-old male I approached the day with caution, but as it went on I threw myself into every event with the enthusiasm of a teenager. LOVED IT.
Tony Brindley Romford Platform, MTR Crossrail
The best day at 'work' you'll have!
Stephanie Tyson Project Manager, Arup
Women in Rail has worked with Nimble Media for the past three years. On behalf of the charity they have delivered The Big Rail Diversity Challenge and Women in Rail Awards, which are now key diary dates for the rail industry. It is a pleasure working with the Nimble team: they are dedicated, hard-working and professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Adeline Ginn Founder, Women in Rail
The day was fantastic, well organised and good fun I would recommend people to take part in next year’s event. A really fun day.

Stephanie Tyson Project Manager, Arup
A fun packed day with challenges to suit every member of our team. I struck up friendships with new colleagues I hadn't even met yet, and probably wouldn't had it not been for this.
Natalie Adams Client Account Manager, SNC-Lavalin
A fantastic event that allowed all members of our very mixed ability and age team to shine, bond and have fun whilst supporting a very worthy cause.
James Room Divisional Manager, Morson Group

On the publishing side of the Nimble business, we are in the final stages of delivering the first ever Visitor Guide for South Kesteven – watch this space for the digital version.

Our latest issue of Stamford Alumni and Parents magazine is printing as I type, we also have the latest issue of Disabled Motoring UK in production, together with the annual publication of Hooked! on behalf of Anglian Water, a dedicated title for the course and fly fisheries.

Personally, I have a mountain to climb in the next few weeks to get ready for the man in a red suit – as we will be moving house on the weekend of the 22 December – which is why my twelve Christmas Day house guests will be contributing with more than just a bottle of Baileys! I will be requesting dishes of veg so that we have something to eat as well!! To say I wistfully dream of a time when all I had to worry about was ‘fluffing’ cushions and flicking a feather duster ahead of guests arriving would be an understatement! Still the silver lining is that we get to share our new home with loved ones.

I hope that whatever you are doing for Christmas that you have a healthy and happy one. On behalf of the Nimble Media team, we wish you a very Merry Festive holiday and look forward to working with and for you next year.
